But it is not so much the space for hiphop. Hiphop, in my opinion, is not commercial. It can happen in clubs, in the studio, in a shopping mall, when homies meet, in a car, at the corner of the street, that’s quickly done, simple, easy!
There is as well the Trocadéro, where the dancer meet to dance during the summer. And then the urban space, the malls at Créteil, at La Défense, in the suburbs. You can squat an urban place with smooth ground.
J’y suis allée, mais je n’ai rien trouvé. I was there, but I didn’t find anything.
En journée ce n’est pas la peine, plutôt le soir ou le week-end, l’après-midi. Il n’y a plus rien à Châtelet, c’est fini, il y a eu les policiers et tout ça, mais à La Défense, Sortie G, tout au bout, par exemple. During the day there isn’t much, rather the evening or weekend afternoons. There’s nothing any more at Châtelet, that’s over. The police was there and all this, but at La Défense, Exit G at the very end, for instance.
Tu sors beaucoup, quels sont tes clubs préférés ? You go out a lot, what club do you like?
Il y a un endroit où je sortais beaucoup à l’époque qui s’appelle Slow Club, rue Rivoli.
